Privacy
Lunar Calendar has no server. What you enter stays in this browser, and is sent to Google Calendar only when you press the button yourself.
What is stored
- The names, kinds, lunar dates and birth years of the days you save are stored only in this browser. So are the name, frequency, weekday and time of each check-in call.
- Your language, how far ahead to add, and the ID of the calendar created in Google are also kept in this browser.
- They are gone when you remove them from the list or clear this site’s data in your browser.
- A link made with “Send to family” contains the names and dates you saved. Anyone who has the link can see them.
Google Calendar
- You are asked to sign in to Google only when you press “Add to Google Calendar”.
- The only permission requested is calendar.app.created, which covers only calendars this site created. Your other calendars and events cannot be read.
- It does not ask for permission to see your name, email address or contacts.
- What is sent to Google is each event’s title (name and kind), its date, and a description with the lunar date. For a check-in call it is the title, frequency, weekday, time and this device’s time zone. It goes straight from your browser to Google and through nowhere else.
- The sign-in token is not stored. It is gone when you close the page.
- You can withdraw the permission at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and delete the created calendar in Google Calendar.
What is loaded from elsewhere
- Visits are counted with GoatCounter, which uses no cookies. It counts the page viewed, the referrer, browser type, screen size and country, and how often the save and add-to-calendar buttons are pressed. The names and dates you enter are not sent.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
